Pooran
Pooran is a senior stylist and salon leader at Poza Salon in Charlotte, North Carolina, with more than two decades of experience specializing in hair color, color correction, precision haircutting, and short hairstyles.
Before beginning her career in cosmetology, Pooran earned a degree in radiology in Iran. After moving to the United States in 1996, she chose to pursue her lifelong passion for hair, combining her scientific mindset with artistic creativity to build a career centered on precision, problem-solving, and exceptional client care.
Committed to continuous education, Pooran trained at the prestigious Vidal Sassoon Advanced Academy in London and completed advanced color education with Redken in New York. She has spent years mastering advanced color formulation, corrective color, and dimensional color techniques, with Wella Professional serving as her preferred color line.
Pooran is especially known for creating beautiful short haircuts, correcting challenging color, and helping clients achieve healthy, natural-looking results that complement their features and lifestyle. Her thoughtful consultations, meticulous attention to detail, and honest recommendations have earned the trust of generations of loyal clients.
Beyond working behind the chair, Pooran is a certified business coach for salons and spas and enjoys mentoring stylists while helping elevate the guest experience. She believes great hair begins with listening, education, and a personalized approach, ensuring every client leaves feeling confident, refreshed, and empowered.
Zahava
Zahava is a co-founder of Poza Salon, an award-winning boutique hair salon in Charlotte, North Carolina. A Charlotte native, she began her career in cosmetology in 1999 and has spent more than 25 years refining her craft through advanced education, international training, and thousands of hours behind the chair.
Early in her career, Zahava traveled to Los Angeles, Miami, New York, and London to study advanced haircutting and styling techniques, including training at the prestigious Vidal Sassoon Advanced Academy. That foundation continues to influence her signature approach: precision cutting, personalized color, and effortlessly wearable hair that complements each client’s lifestyle and features.
Known for creating modern, natural-looking hair with exceptional attention to detail, Zahava has built one of Charlotte’s most loyal client followings. Clients value her ability to listen, her honest recommendations, and her commitment to creating styles that look just as beautiful weeks later as they do the day they leave the salon.
As a salon owner, mentor, and educator, Zahava is equally passionate about developing the next generation of hairstylists. She believes exceptional hair begins with exceptional education and has spent years training assistants, interns, and stylists to deliver the level of craftsmanship and client experience Poza Salon is known for.
Today, Zahava continues to work behind the chair while leading Poza Salon’s team and staying at the forefront of haircutting, hair color, and salon innovation.

Dory
Dory earned a full scholarship to Aveda by winning the Catwalk for Water Spring 2022 competition with an innovative plastic bag ballgown and a sea-themed glam look, showcasing the impact of pollution on our planet.
They are passionate about excellence and refined craft, always eager to learn and grow under dedicated mentors.
From age 6, Dory has been fascinated by hair and beauty. They started by braiding and cutting their hair, eventually experimenting with color and becoming the family’s go-to barber.
Dory is thrilled and proud to join the Poza Team as of Spring 2024. They feel right at home on Crescent Avenue. Dory has been a wonderful addition to Poza, and we expect their skillset to be in high demand in Charlotte.
