Our Story: LGBTQ-Owned, Myers Park Roots
Founded 19 years ago (this month) by Pooran and Zahava, a married LGBTQ couple, Poza Salon is a testament to authenticity and acceptance. We trained with Vidal Sassoon in London, and together we set out to build something unique: an LGBTQ-owned salon in Myers Park, Charlotte that feels like home to anyone who walks through the door.
Our roots in Myers Park run deep—this is one of Charlotte’s oldest and most charming neighborhoods. My grandmother was born and raised just a few blocks away on Baldwin Ave, making this community even more special to us.
